EliGE shines as Liquid move on to DreamHack Masters final over FURIA

Liquid beat FURIA in two maps, Nuke (16-13) and Overpass (16-4), to go on to the DreamHack Masters Dallas grand final where they will face the winner of the FaZe vs. ENCE match.
Doubles by Yuri "yuurih" Santos and Rinaldo "ableJ" Moda Junior on the attacking side of Nuke gave FURIA the advantage after the pistol round. With 3-0 on the board, FURIA then executed on A, winning a clean 3vs3 afterplant situation to keep increasing their lead. A 2vs2 retake by Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken and Nick "nitr0" Cannella got Liquid at the board, who were then able to convert a 5vs3 in a three-kill round by Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski. With 4-4 on the board, EliGE won a 1vs2 to get the North American side in the lead for the first time. Once again, EliGE had a huge round with a 1vs4 clutch to make it 7-4. Another triple in the last round of the half by EliGE put him at 21 kills in his team’s 10-5 half.
FURIA then won the second pistol round and the first gun round of the second half with Andrei "arT" Piovezan knifing down several players. The two teams then traded rounds with upgraded pistols against full buys. Liquid then got three in a row, making it 14-10, but a double by arT and triple by ableJ got FURIA back into it. They were able to bring it within one, 13-14, but Liquid finally closed it out as EliGE tallied one more clutch win in a 1vs1 before his side made it 16-13 the following round.

Liquid won the first pistol round on the attack on Overpass, following it up for a 4-0 lead. Jake "Stewie2K" Yip and EliGE then won a 2vs3 afterplant to keep Liquid ahead as the North Americans. Down 0-6, a triple by Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo helped FURIA get on the board, but a 1vs2 clutch by nitr0 on the following round kept Liquid solidly in the lead. The half continued being a one-sided affair as Liquid closed it out 14-1. A triple by nitr0 in a 3vs5 gave his side the second pistol round. FURIA won the forcebuy on the second round with a triple by Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato, and then won two more, but ultimately gave it up against pistols as Liquid closed it out, 16-4.
